I started this blog because Dianna and I are leaving on a three week sailing trip, with a flotilla, to Desolation Sound, Canada.  We will “bareboat” charter a 38 foot catamaran; and sail from Bellingham Washington to Desolation Sound and back.  The plan is to sail across the Staits of Juan de Fuca, up through the Staits of Georgia between Vancouver Island and mainland Canada, north to Campbell River, up into Desolation Bay, down the coast to Princess Louisa Inlet before heading south back to Bellingham. We will make two overnight stops at Campbell River on Vancouver Island for provisioning, fuel, and water. An estimated 550 nautical miles.  Maps and more detailed itinerary in future blogs.
